This project involved milling and widening along Briarcliff Road and Tullie Circle, followed by full‑depth of the interior asphalt pavement sections and the hospital’s ring road. Baldwin maintained an accelerated construction schedule while ensuring uninterrupted emergency access and continuous hospital traffic flow throughout all paving operations. A total of more than 24,000 tons of combined asphalt materials were placed. Subcontracted scopes included temporary traffic control, curb and gutter installation, pavement striping, and regulatory and guide signage.
This project involved the construction of both light duty and heavy duty asphalt pavement built to rigorous specifications. The team delivered the work ahead of schedule while meeting all project requirements. Baldwin oversaw the GAB installation, milling of all joints, and execution of the asphalt paving operations. Subcontractors supported the project by providing traffic control, pavement striping, and signage installation.Throughout the project, comprehensive safety measures were enforced, including detailed traffic control plans, daily jobsite safety briefings, strict equipment and truck movement protocols, PPE compliance, and continuous coordination to meet Costco’s safety standards.
This project includes a state-of-the-art distribution center on the nearly 1,000-acre Fort Gillem property, a former U.S. Army base, in Forest Park, Ga. The 1 million-square-foot distribution center services existing operations in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Baldwin Paving completed 101,000 tons of asphalt paving in 3 months on this project. It included strong coordination between our project manager, multiple crews on the project simultaneously, quality control/assurance, plant operations, and our safety team.
This project consisted of GAB placement, asphalt paving, and curb and gutter installation. Baldwin performed the fine grading, asphalt milling, and all asphalt paving operations, successfully installing over 20,000 tons of material on schedule. The project was completed over a 3 month timeline, meeting all production and delivery milestones. Our subcontractors handled traffic control, pavement striping, and ground‑post‑mounted signage installation.
This project involved the construction of both light duty and heavy duty asphalt pavement sections. Baldwin executed the complete installation scope, including soil cement stabilization, graded aggregate base (GAB) placement, and full asphalt paving operations using established compaction and quality control procedures. This project consists of replacing the pavement that was in poor overall condition along I-75 from Beltline Trail to just south of the bridge over the I-75 ramp to I-85 in Fulton County. GDOT proposed to resurface the 12.5mm Poly and OGFC on I-75 for a distance of 5.96 miles. The project also consisted of repaving the shoulders and ramps, and replacing thermo and loops. Baldwin Paving is responsible for manufacturing and placing 55,000 Tons of Asphalt, 191,000 SY of milling, and Traffic Control. Our Subcontractors are responsible for micro milling, installation of thermo, and installation of loops.
This priority project adds new flyover ramps, new collector-distributor lanes and other facilities to aid east-west travel along I-285 and north-south travel along SR 400. This project consisted of 4.3 miles of I-285 from west of Roswell Road to east of Ashford Dunwoody Road and 6.2 miles along SR 400 from the Glenridge Connector to Spalding Drive. Baldwin Paving was responsible for Resurfacing nearly 400,000 tons, over 500,000 SYs of Milling, over 10,000 feet of storm drain, among other items like traffic control, soil cement, barrier wall, and stabilization to name a few. Baldwin was a critical stakeholder in completion of this project.
This project replaced the pavement that was in poor overall condition along I-285 west side from CS 843/Collier Drive to CR 2838/Paces Ferry Road in Fulton and Cobb Counties. GDOT proposed to replace the existing JPCP on I-285 a distance of 7.22 miles. The project also replaced the shoulders, concrete median barrier, glare screen and guardrail and corrected the existing substandard cross slope. Baldwin Paving is responsible for manufactoring and placing nearly 420,000 tons of asphalt, micromilling, and traffic control.
This project consisted of replacing the pavement that was in poor overall condition along SR400 in Dawson and Lumpkin Counties. GDOT proposed to resurface the 12.5mm Poly and OGFC on SR400 for a distance of 7.95 miles. The project also consisted of repaving the shoulders and ramps, as well as replacing thermo and loops. Baldwin Paving is responsible for manufacturing and placing 40,000 Tons of Asphalt, 380,000 SY of milling, and Traffic Control. Our Subcontractors are responsible for installation of thermo and installation of loops.
This project consisted of grading out and building a new parking lot for the new Pickens County Airport Terminal building. Baldwin was responsible for installing new 18" Storm Drain Pipe and drainage structures, moving dirt to build the new parking lot pad, placing GAB, installing new curb and sidewalk, and paving the new parking lot. Our subcontractors were responsible for erosion control, striping the parking lot, and installing new decorative fencing and gates around the parking lot.
This project consisted of building a roundabout on SR 14 at SR 41. Baldwin was responsible for grading, placing GAB, installing 18" Storm Drain pipe, milling asphalt and paving asphalt. Our subcontractors were responsible for erosion control, installing all the curb and gutter, all the concrete flatwork, lighting poles and luminaires, drainage structures, striping and ground post-mounted signs.
This project was designed to remove a historical rock culvert and replace with a new precast single barrel culvert. Baldwin was responsible for grading, placing GAB, building and pouring the footer foundation, placing and setting the precast culvert pieces, and paving asphalt. Our subcontractors were responsible for erosion control, guardrail, striping and ground post-mounted signs.
This project consisted of widening of a turn lane on SR 101 at Old Draketown Trail. Baldwin was responsible for grading, installing 18" Storm Drain pipe, drainage structures, GAB, milling asphalt, 18" Side Drain pipe (for driveways), paving asphalt. Our subcontractors were responsible for erosion control, striping, ground post mounted signs, and field fencing.
This project consisted of widening Upper Riverdale Rd and improving the intersection with a new traffic signal and pedestrian pedestals. Baldwin was responsible for grading, 18" storm drain pipe, drainage structures, GAB, milling asphalt, and paving asphalt. Our subcontractors were responsible for erosoin control, traffic signals, guardrail, curb and gutter, sidewalk, concrete medians, striping and ground post mounted signs.
